When I speak of Yahushua many people say "well, it says Jesus in my bible". Well, you have to take it to the Greek or Hebrew and when it is in the Greek you need to see what it means in the Hebrew. In Hebrews 4:8 it says "For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. " It actually says in a side note Joshua. Their names was so close they had a hard time knowing was it Jesus or Joshua. In the Strong's concordance when you look up Jesus it says:
G2424
Remember though, the letter J has only been around for five hundred years so it was actually a Y instead of a J.

It is Yah not Yeh because one of His names is Yah and His son's name would have to have part of His Father's name as His name means Yah is my Salvation. In Psalms 68:4 the word Jah is used. There it says it is a shortened version of Yahweh(my wording) and the proper name of the one true Elohim(my wording). When you look up the word God in Hebrew it says Elohim. One of His names. When you look up the word God in the dictionary it says a Being perfect in power, wisdom and goodness and a person or thing of supreme value. But would you want to be called by a pagan name that if you just use a lower case g puts you along with false gods? I really don't think that is what He had in mind.
Do you know where the word yahoo came from? It was what the Jews were called by the Babylonians while in captivity.
If you look up the word Jesus in the concordance at Blue Letter Bible.com and listen to the pronunciation it says Ye-Zeus. Now this is written in Greek and who was their god? I have to say that is interesting. Do you really think that He wants to be called by a Greek god's name? He has a name. Would you want to be called by the name that was given to you or let someone else decide to call you whatever they seemed okay? Now listen to the pronunciation of His name in Hebrew.

Joshua was a precusor for Yahushua. Because just like Joshua was the one who brought the Israelites into the Promised Land, so shall Yahushua bring us into the Promised Land.
Proverbs 30:4 "Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?" Everything in the Bible is there for a reason.
When the Israelites sinned and was taken into captivity His name was to be forgotten among them. Psa 44:20" If we have forgotten the name of our Elohim, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;" Jer 23:27 "Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal."
But now that the punishment is over and His name is being revealed to those who seek Him.
