I was watching a reality show the other night (first mistake
I know) but noticed a common theme through a couple different episodes. That was, everyone in the show from kids to
parents seemed to crave the idea of slowing down and have a meal together. You know, a ‘family meal’, where Dad’s, Mom’s
and Children talk of their day, what happened, things they’ve seen and things
they’ve done. The real purpose behind
this though is the fact that family, children and adults, get to ‘connect’. There is a purpose behind sharing a meal with
someone, beyond the natural point of filling our belly.

This leads me to my ultimate point in writing this
post. Our Father has sanctified and set
apart a blessed day, the 7th day, Shabbat, for us to partake in a
meal with our family and Father. HE has
given us a chance to connect with those around us in our family and friends, to
slow down and put the worries of the week behind us and to be present in HIS
midst. There seems to be something not
only physical about sharing a meal and the breaking of bread with people, a
covenant in and of itself, but something spiritual. Something that transcends our worldly
knowledge, but connects us and draws us closer to one another and YHWH.

In this same way, this is a set apart time for us to listen
to HIM, for our Father to listen to us and for us to pray out in our Father’s
name and feel refreshed. All of us want
to be heard as individuals, and Father has given us a whole day to do exactly
that; not only be heard, but to listen, to learn, and to grow.

I pray that as more believers come into the knowledge of
Torah, they open their eyes, open their ears, but more importantly open their
hearts to the wondrous beauty our Father gave us in keeping his Torah.

We hosted a Mr. Hanoch Young the monday before Thanksgiving back in November of 2014. It was such an honor. We had such a great time and we truly feel blessed to have met him and visit with him for the short period of time we had.

He spoke based on the scripture "In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel..." Jeremiah 3:18

"Are you one of those people who are inspired by the Prophets? Do you feel drawn to Israel? Feel a sense of kinship with the Jewish people? Did you ever feel that maybe YOU are supposed to be one of the 'Watchmen on the Walls?" Have you ever wondered, WHY? Come hear Hanoch Young, direct from Israel who will be teaching about the Restoration of ALL of Israel - the promised reunification of Judah and Ephraim!

He is an Orthodox Jew and a former New Yorker, has been intensively studying and teaching about the return of ALL the tribes of Israel for twenty years. Having made Aliyah (immigrated to Israel) in 2009, all of his energy has been focused on outreach to those who have been led to feel that they, too are part of Israel. Having become a licensed Israeli Tour Guide to be better prepared to help returning Ephraim and all Bible Believers become reacquainted with Israel, Hanoch has been building bridges with Ephraimtes and Christians throughout the world.

He travels periodically to the United States, he has been bringing a message of activism, mutual respect and inclusion, all based upon the teachings of the prophets on the reunification of ALL of Israel - the single most dominant theme in all the prophetic teachings. Hanoch's exciting, dynamic style, combined with his background and education in addition to his caring and warmth make him a unique messenger from Israel. Coming from Modi'in - the ancient home of the Maccabees, Hanoch is bringing his call for a Revolution for the Restoration to our town."

I think I have finally come to the conculsioin that maturing in my forties isn't so bad. Here's just a few of the plus(s) as I contemplate my life on this Shabbat:

- I enjoy taking naps on Shabbat
- I realize I am not as concerned about what other people may think
- I enjoy the small things in life; like watching birds play in the backyard, squirrels eating off a corn cob, and beautiful flowers starting to bloom
- I like taking deep breaths and 'taking it all in' and am not as concerned about everything in life like I used to be
- I look at the gray hairs in my beard or on the side of my head and say to myself, 'man that looks good, looks like 'wisdom' is finally coming in'
- I enjoy the family time more then ever before, like sitting around a fire pit eating smores with a chill in the air and warmth by fire all at the same time
- I am thankful and feel immensely blessed where I am in my life and career, and while I want to go further and do more, I realize that the 24x7 chaos of trying to get there isn't all that's cracked up to be
- And yes, I tear up once in a while as I watch my teenagers, reminiscing about when they were just babies and holding them or playing games or reading books
- And most of all..........I realize my teenagers will be adults one day, have their own kids and life, and may go through similar situations me and Mrs P. went through, then I sit back, get a big smile on my face and say 'baaaahahahahahahahahahah'.

Yes folks, being in your early forties isn't so bad after all. Remember, work hard, play hard, and most of all give the glory to our Father YEHOVAH in all things.

Shalom!!!

I read a posting this morning that Hebrew Roots and Messianic believers can many times take the joy out of being a believer. I can somewhat relate to that because it seems many posts on various media outlets only pertain to negativity and division between YEHOVAH's two groups of believers. Instead of relishing in the fact that we have many people, all on the same road trying to serve and learn about the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we instead criticize and belittle........every.......little........thing someone does or does not do.

It seems many believers become so arrogant in what they've learned, that everyone else has to conform to their standard or else we just don't measure up. Instead of growing together, someone ends up creating their own doctrine (probably unintentional but it happens) others need to conform too. No wonder there are so some many 'doctrines' in the first place.

So today my friends, whoever and wherever you are, I would ask you to let the joy of believing fill your heart, find peace in yourself and your HIS belief system, learn to work next to and discuss issues of doctrines as adults (please as adults not as kindergarteners) with open hearts and minds so we can all grow and learn. Remember, our Father says 'iron sharpens iron', not 'this iron is sharper then yours so if you don't conform to these 11 minute principles I will cut you down'.

YEHOVAH's words, HIS son and his covenant with us is so beautiful, so engaging and poetic, that don't we owe it to HIM to be kind and loving to our brothers and sisters no matter where they are in their walk. I believe we do. Find the joy again in Father, let HIM reign down Glory and Mercy in your life, relish in what YESHUA did on the cross and be the light we are called to be; not by saying it, but by living a friendly, joy filled life helping each brother and sister along.

Shabbat Shalom
New moon sighted in Israel! Tonight at sundown will be the first day of the first biblical month and the 14th day is Passover. The 15th day is the first day of unleavened bread until the 21st day which is the 7th day of unleavened bread. Time get prepared for some cleaning of homes and buy/make some matzah! I love this time of the year.

For some reason I, as far as we know, was the only one who could sight the moon. I sighted from the north of Israel near Kiryat Ata at 7:24pm with binoculars, and then at 7:25pm with the naked eye. It was very difficult to see, but fortunately I was also able to take photos. The Photos are the raw image, meaning no enhancement was done. The moon is above the electrical tower to the left. The moon was visible till 7:36-7pm and then vanished in the haze.
WWDD: What Would David Do?

On March 2, 2014 the barley was not Aviv in the Land of Israel. As a result, the Feast of Unleavened Bread (commonly called "Passover") will be in mid-April, on the 15th day of the First Hebrew Month. But when exactly is the 15th Day of the First Hebrew Month in the Biblical calendar this year? This is where things get a little complicated. I have mentioned in the past two systems for beginning the Hebrew month: "Potential Visibility" and "Actual Visibility with 30 Day Maximum". I talked about this years ago in this newsletter:

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/karaite_korner_news/conversations/topics/73

In a nutshell, Potential Visibility means beginning the Hebrew month when the moon "should be" visible even if it is not sighted due to clouds. This past new moon was a great example of Potential Visibility. The moon SHOULD HAVE BEEN easily visible from Israel on Sunday March 2, 2014. However, there was a thick haze over Israel that night and therefore no one sighted the moon that evening. Based on Potential Visibility, the Thirteenth Hebrew Month began on March 2, even though no one saw it. In contrast, according to Actual Visibility with 30 Day Maximum, the month began on Monday March 3 by default. I should point out that the haze lasted for a few days, so no one saw the moon on March 3 either. Let me summarize the two results:

Thirteenth Hebrew Month
Potential Visibility: March 2, 2014 (no sighting due to haze)
Actual Visibility with 30 Day Maximum: March 3, 2014 (by default)

Potential Visibility has a major limitation, specifically in certain months when it is impossible to predict that a moon will be "easily visible" based on the most advance science. This usually happens once or twice a year, although only rarely does that affect the feast days. In the rare occurrences that "Potential Visibility" encounters a new moon that can't be calculated, it reverts to "Actual Visibility with 30 Day Maximum." For example, the new moon for Yom Teruah in 2012 could not be predicted using even the most advanced calculations known to science. On that occasion, Keith Johnson and I traveled to southern Israel where we sighted the new moon from a mountaintop northwest of Eilat. Had no one sighted the moon that evening, the festival of Yom Teruah would have been the following evening based on both "Potential Visibility" and "Actual Visibility with 30 Day Maximum."

I have personally vacillated between these two systems over the years. "Potential Visibility" has the advantage of convenience. It also resonates to the modern scientific way of thinking. The problem is when I ask myself WWDD: "What Would David Do?" It just so happens the Tanakh records the answer to that question in 1 Samuel, Chapter 20. Back then, the future-king of Israel was afraid of King Saul, who he was convinced wanted him dead. King Saul's son, Jonathan, was David's BFF ("best friend forever," for you old folks). David decided to test King Saul by seeing how he would react to David's absence from a royal feast scheduled to celebrate the New Moon. In this context, the Tanakh records the following conversation between David and Jonathan:

"And David said to Jonathan, 'Indeed tomorrow is the New Moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king to eat. But let me go, that I may hide in the field until the third day at evening.'" 1 Samuel 20:5

When I read this story, I ask myself how David could have known that "tomorrow is the New Moon"? The natural explanation for most people who don't know history is that David used the calculations of the "Jewish Calendar." Those calculations determine the time of the conjunction of the Moon with the Earth and the Sun and they are the basis of the Hillel II calendar established in 359 CE and still used by most Jews today. Unfortunately, that would be an "anachronism." The mathematical values of that calendar were worked out by the Alexandrian Greek astronomer Ptolemy around 150 CE and later adopted by Hillel II around 359 CE. Both Ptolemy and Hillel II postdate David by more than 1,000 years.

As a side-note, Hillel II's calculations do not actually calculate conjunction, but rather "average conjunction," which could be off by as much as 12 hours from the true conjunction. The calculation of true conjunction was way beyond Hillel II's mathematical abilities or astronomical knowledge. For example, this month, Hillel II puts conjunction on March 31, 2014 at 3:53am, but true conjunction according to NASA is March 30 at 8:45pm (Jerusalem time = UT+2). That's an error of 7+ hours! Check the sources for yourself!

http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/216238/jewish/Molad-Times.htm<div mcballoonconfig="{"IsPremium":true,"features":{"cashback":false,"highlite":false,"showIcons":true},"resources":{"siteReportLinkText":"Read site report","siteReport":{"args":"pip=false&premium=true&client_uid=3220003433&client_ver=3.6.5.135&client_type=IEPlugin&suite=true&aff_id=0&locale=en_us&ui=1&os_ver=6.1.1.0","baseURL":"https://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/"},"CCHeader":"Site Content:","recommendations":{"20008":"This link isn't rated.

Maimonides would later provide a more accurate calculation, which he adopted from the Muslim astronomer al-Batani... but I digress. The bottom line is that David could not have known the timing of the New Moon using a calculation worked out by a Greek astronomer 1,200 years after he was born. And even if David traveled in time and learned that calculation from Hillel II, he still would not know the time of true conjunction.

So how did David know that "tomorrow is the New Moon"? Anyone who observes the new moon for a couple of years will immediately see that every lunar month is either 29 or 30 days long. There is no such thing as a 28-day or 31-day lunar month. If the atmosphere is clear, the new moon will always be visible after either 29 or 30 days. There is no need to project Hillel II's calculations over 1,000 years back into the time of David. All David had to do was know that a lunar month can only be 29 or 30 days. The Hebrew language also clearly reflects this knowledge. A 30-day month is called a "full month" and a 29-day month is called "deficient month." There is no such thing as a 28-day or 31-day month in Hebrew terminology or thought. If the moon were not sighted after the 29th day, David could say with 100% certainty: "tomorrow is the new moon"! There was nothing unusual or extraordinary about this statement. Such a straightforward prediction could be made for about half the months in any given lunar year.

So What Would David Do? David would without doubt follow Actual Visibility with 30 Day Maximum! Obviously Potential Visibility is a product of the 20th Century. No question about it. We could argue that it is really a product of the 9th Century CE with some later fine-tuning. Either way, Potential Visibility could not have been known to King David anymore than he knew about airplanes or telephones.

What does all of this have to do with the timing of Passover this year? First of all, it is impossible even with the most advanced science to predict visibility this month. On March 31, 2014 the moon will have 1.01% illumination and 52 minutes of lagtime (the time between sunset and moonset). This is just enough to say the moon might be visible, but more likely might not be. We simply can't say with any certainty one way or another. So this month, no question about it, "Potential Visibility" must revert to "Actual Visibility with 30 Day Maximum."

Where things get really complicated is that last month no one sighted the new moon on the evening of March 2, when it should have been easily visible. As I mentioned above, there was haze all over Israel on Sunday March 2, 2014 making it impossible to sight the moon. If you follow Potential Visibility, the haze didn't matter; you began the month on March 2 anyway. If you follow "Actual Visibility with 30 Day Maximum," then you began the month on March 3 by default.

Those who accept Potential Visibility, can stop reading. Things are very simple. Well, relatively simple. Using Potential-Visibility-reverting-to-an-Actual-Visibility-with-30-Day-Maximum, here are the possible dates of the upcoming Feast:

If the new moon is sighted on March 31, 2014, the Feast of Unleavened Bread will be Sunset Monday April 14 through Sunset Monday April 21.

If the new moon is not sighted on March 31, 2014, the Feast of Unleavened Bread will be Sunset Tuesday April 15 through Sunset Tuesday April 22.

However... if you ask "What Would David Do?", then you must KEEP READING! Using Actual Visibility with 30 Day Maximum, the Thirteenth Hebrew Month began on March 3, 2014 (remember the haze). If we count 29 days, this month should end on either April 1 or April 2, depending on when the moon is sighted. The moon should be easily visible on April 1, unless there are clouds or haze. Israel gets regular dust storms this time of year, so a natural haze is entirely possible.

In David's time, this would not be complicated at all. They would look at the sky on April 1 and decide when to keep the feast based on what they saw or didn't see. Very simple, unless... witnesses sighted the moon on March 31! Then they would accept that the moon should have been visible on March 2, but was not sighted due to haze. This creates three possible dates for the Feast of Unleavened Bread this coming month:

Actual Visibility with 30 Day Maximum:
If the new moon is sighted on March 31, 2014, the Feast of Unleavened Bread will be Sunset Monday April 14 through Sunset Monday April 21.
If the new moon is sighted on April 1, 2014, the Feast of Unleavened Bread will be Sunset Tuesday April 15 through Sunset Tuesday April 22.
If the new moon is not sighted on March 31 or April 1, 2014, the Feast of Unleavened Bread will be Sunset Wednesday April 16 through Sunset Wednesday April 23.

Three thousand years ago, David would not have known that the moon might be visible on March 31, 2014. However, if witnesses sighted the new moon, he would have accepted their testimony knowing that there had been clouds on March 2. Incidentally, the Rabbinical dates of the Feast of Unleavened Bread this year are sunset April 14 through sunset April 21, based on the Hillel II calculations of 359 CE.

I have personally been following the Biblical calendar based on the sighting of the new moon in Israel since 1990 and am not aware of a previous situation like this. What all this means is that the observation on March 31 is super-important not to mention extremely difficult. Only a careful observation will determine when the Feast of Unleavened Bread will begin and this is true whether you are following Potential Visibility or Actual Visibility with 30 Day Maximum. If we are lazy and don't do our utmost to try and sight the moon on March 31, we might be in for a Heavenly April Fool's joke! It is truly humbling that with all our modern technology and science, we must still rely on the Creator of the universe to let us know His appointed times and holy feasts.

Update: After writing this letter, I read it over several times and prayed about it. I then came to the unequivocal conviction that I must get on an airplane and fly to Israel to try and sight this month's new moon. I called up Keith Johnson on his American cell phone only to discover that he was already in Israel waiting for the new moon sighting. There was my second witness! So on Sunday I am saying "Zàijiàn" to China and embarking on the excruciatingly long journey to Israel. I have stepped out on faith and told my Chinese employer that I am taking an unanticipated 2-week absence. The ticket was purchased earlier today with borrowed funds. I would like to let you all know of a new teacher that my husband and I like to listen to. His name is Sandy Bruce and I am sure you have seen some of his posts. He now has a website that is up and running. I have the link under Favorites to the bottom right. He teaches the Scriptures from the Hebrew words of Moses (Mosheh מֹשֶׁה ) and the Hebrew Prophets, and Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ the Messiah and His Hebrew Sent Ones (sheh-lee-cheem שְּׁלִיחִים ; apostles ). This was taken from his Facebook page just so you can read a little about him and his mission.
Teaching and Explaining the richness and depth of the Scriptures from the Hebrew words, these teachings reveal incredible mysteries and revelations of spiritual principles and spiritual truths, which are not found, not seen, and not understood, in any other language. These teachings stir and move people’s hearts to better learn and understand the nature and character of our Creator YHWH יְהוָה ELohim אֱלֹהִים and what He expects from us in a relationship with Him.

These teachings help change people’s lives in a dramatic way, as they motivate and encourage people to LEARN and OBEY the COMMANDMENTS of our Creator YHWH יְהוָה ELohim אֱלֹהִים , which is necessary to do for our SANCTIFICATION -- working out our salvation with fear and trembling ( Phil 2:12 ), in order to prepare ourselves to be the Bride of Messiah.

Verses in the Hebrew Scriptures often contain FOUR levels of meaning and understanding. Passages in one part of the Scriptures are connected to passages in other parts through similar or related Hebrew words. Passages in the ReNewed Covenant writings are often not correctly, properly or fully understood, until we learn what those words mean in the Hebrew Scriptures.

I apologize for not having been able to post. Now that I am in school to learn about nutrition and lifestyle changes I have been super busy. But back to the barley. Nehemia Gordon is not able to search this year as he is in China teaching. As of March 2nd there was no abib barley per Hebrew in Israel. <span style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">The daughter of Frank and Mary Houtz is trying to raise funds for her mother's medical expenses. She has all the symptoms of stage three (at least!) congestive heart failure caused by a severe case of hyperthyroidism. Her parents cannot afford health insurance and have very little money to even consider options for treatment. For the past year, her 13 year old sister has taken on all responsibility for dinner preparation and her 11 year old brother has been responsible for breakfast so Mom doesn't have to exert herself. She has been the live in caretaker for her 90 year old Grandmother for the past several years so she hasn't been as available to help, but she can at least network and spread word about what can be done. If it is the Creator's will that her mother live another week, another month, another twenty years, then she wants her to enjoy that time and she wants her to be able to feel the love of her family and friends.
Rabbi Richman's latest Jerusalem Post op-ed
Jewish tradition emphasizes that the month of Elul is a special time of Divine good will and mercy – a time that is particularly conducive to prayer and repentance. Actually, the month is part of the preparatory process for entering into the awesome judgment of Rosh Hashana and the cleansing power of the Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. God makes Himself especially close at hand.

The Second Tablets of Stone and the Covenant ReNewed (Deut 10:1-5)

The COVENANT of MARRIAGE ( between YHWH יְהוָה ELohim אֱלֹהִים and IsraEL ), which is the “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) made at Mount Sinai, was ReNewed at Mount Horeb ( same mountain chain, but a different mountain peak thereof ). This is a prophetic and messianic portrait that the COVENANT of MARRIAGE ( between YHWH יְהוָה ELohim אֱלֹהִים and IsraEL ; not with any church or “the Church” ) will be ReNewed again through Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ the Messiah.

“At that time YHWH יְהוָה said to me, ‘HEW ( peh-sahl פְּסָל ) FOR YOURSELF ( leh-chah לְךָ ) two tablets of stone Like the FIRST ONES ( kah-rih-shoh-neem כָּרִאשֹׁנִים ), And COME UP ( vah-ah-lay וַעֲלֵה ; ascend ) to Me, On The MOUNTAIN ( ha -hah-rah הָהָרָה ) And MAKE ( veh-ah-see-tah וְעָשִׂיתָ ) FORYOURSELF ( leh-chah לְךָ ) an ARK of WOOD. (Deut 10:1)

Here, Mosheh is GOING UP ( ASCENDING ) on the mountain, actually for the THIRD TIME ( not the SECOND TIME ). But instead of going up on Mount SINAI, he is going upon Mount HOREB, which is a mountain peak in the same mountain chain. We know this from other places throughout the TORAH תּוֹרָה and the Prophets where it speaks about Mount HOREB and the COVENANT made there.

“Remember the “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) of Moses, My servant,
which I commanded him in HOREB for all IsraEL, With the statutes and judgments.
( Mal 4:4 | Hebrew: Mal 3:22 )

-------

But there is something very different and very critical to see and understand here, about this SECOND TIME, that Moses ( Mosheh מֹשֶׁה ) WENT UP to receive the Tablets of Stone upon which were written the Ten ( 10 ) Words ( Commandments ).

The FIRST TIME that Moses WENT UP the mountain to get the Tablets of Stone on which the “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) was written, it says:

Then YHWH יְהוָה said to Moses ( Mosheh מֹשֶׁה ), “COME UP (ah-lay עֲלֵה ) to Me On The MOUNTAIN ( ha - hah-rah הָהָרָה ) and be there; And I will GIVE ( veh-eht-nah וְאֶתְּנָה )
TO YOU (leh-chah לְךָ ) tablets of stone, and the “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) And [ The ] COMMANDMENT ( veh - ha – mitz-vah וְהַמִּצְוָה ; singular ) which I have written, that you may teach them.” (Exod 24:12)

[ Note: some English translations here show: commandments ( plural ), but theHebrew tells us: commandment ( Singular ). The singular refers to the ONE GREATEST COMMANDMENT ( the SHema שְׁמַע – Deut 6:4-9, as taught earlier in Deut 6:1 –THE Commandment, representing ALL 613 commandments, which are ONE ( echad אֶחָד ) and NOT divisible or separable. Thus we can NOT add to them and we can NOT subtract from them. ( Deut 4:2, 12:32 )

So do we see what thedifference is?

But the SECOND TIME that Moses went up the mountain to get the Tablets of Stoneon which the “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) was written, it says:

“At that time YHWH יְהוָה said to me, ‘HEW ( peh-sahl פְּסָל ) FOR YOURSELF ( leh-chah לְךָ ) twotablets of stone Like the FIRST ( kah-rih-shoh-neem כָּרִאשֹׁנִים ), And COME UP ( vah-ah-lay וַעֲלֵה ; ascend ) to Me, On The MOUNTAIN ( ha -hah-rah הָהָרָה ) And MAKE ( veh-ah-see-tah וְעָשִׂיתָ ) FORYOURSELF ( leh-chah לְךָ ) an ARK of WOOD. (Deut 10:1)

==========

The FIRST TIME, YHWH יְהוָה WROTE on Two Tablets of STONE
and GAVE THEM to Moses ( Mosheh מֹשֶׁה ).
But the SECOND TIME, Moses ( Mosheh מֹשֶׁה ) -- had to HEW for HIMSELF -- the very TABLETS of STONE, that YHWH יְהוָה ***WILL WRITE *** the “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) on!

Here we see a beautiful and astounding picture of the ReNewed Covenant.

==========

The Tablets of Stone which Moses ( Mosheh מֹשֶׁה ) had to HEW for HIMSELF at Mount HOREB represent OUR HEARTS, which we need to “CIRCUMCISE” and GIVE to YHWH יְהוָה , so that He can, and WILL WRITE, His “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) on them.

Therefore CIRCUMCISE ( oo-mahl-tem וּמַלְתֶּם ) the foreskin of your heart, and bestiff-necked no longer. (Deut 10:16)

וּמַלְתֶּם, אֵתעָרְלַת לְבַבְכֶם; וְעָרְפְּכֶם--לֹא תַקְשׁוּ, עוֹד

Moreover, as Moses ( Mosheh מֹשֶׁה ) WENT UP to YHWH יְהוָה and GAVE Him the TABLETS of STONE, we MUST go to YHWH יְהוָה and GIVE Him the TABLETS of our HEARTS.

If we believe or teach, that the “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) was allegedly “done away with” or allegedly “nailed to the Tree / cross”, then we are *** NOT *** CIRCUMCISED in the heart and YHWH יְהוָה *** HAS NOT *** and ***IS NOT ***, writing His the “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) on our hearts as is what the ReNewed Covenant is all about.

-------

Next, the FIRST TIME ( on Mount Sinai ) that YHWH יְהוָה wrote the Ten Words / Ten Commandments, representing the “LAW” (TORAH תּוֹרָה ) on the Tablets of Stone, He wrote by His FINGER.

And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the FINGER of ELohim אֱלֹהִים . (Exod 31:18)

Then YHWH יְהוָה delivered to me two tablets ofstone written with the FINGER of ELohim אֱלֹהִים , and on them were all the words which YHWH יְהוָה had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. (Deut 9:10)

But the SECOND TIME ( on Mount Horeb ) that YHWH יְהוָה wrote the Ten Words / Ten Commandments, representing the “LAW” (TORAH תּוֹרָה ) on the Tablets of Stone, He wrote by His SPIRIT.

This is understood and confirmed later through the Hebrew Prophets, such as the passage in Ezekiel 36 below:

-------

I will GIVE (veh-nah-tah-tee וְנָתַתִּי ) you a HEART ( layv לֵב ; lev ) ReNewed ( chah-dahsh חָדָשׁ )
and a SPIRIT ( veh-roo-ahch וְרוּחַ veh-ruach ) ReNewed (chah-dah-shah חֲדָשָׁה )
I will PUT ( eh-tayn אֶתֵּן ) WITHIN You ( beh-kihr-beh-chem בְּקִרְבְּכֶם ; you: plural )
I will take the heart of STONE out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. (Ezek 36:26)

And ( veh - ET ; veh - Alef Tav וְאֶת ) I will PUT ( eh-tayn אֶתֵּן )
My Spirit ( Roo-chee רוּחִי ; Ru-chee )

WITHIN YOU (beh-kihr-beh-chem בְּקִרְבְּכֶם ; you: plural )
and I will CAUSE ( veh-ah-see-tee וְעָשִׂיתִי ; I will make )

you to WALK in My STATUTES (beh-choo-kahy בְּחֻקַּי ),
and you will KEEP ( tish-meh-roo תִּשְׁמְרוּ )
My JUDGMENTS ( oo-mishpah-tahy וּמִשְׁפָּטַי )
and DO them ( veh-ah-see-tem וַעֲשִׂיתֶם ).
(Ezek 36:27)

-------

Next,YHWH יְהוָה told Moses to MAKE forHIMSELF – an ARK:

And MAKE ( veh-ah-see-tah וְעָשִׂיתָ ) FOR YOURSELF ( leh-chah לְךָ ) an ARK of WOOD. (Deut 10:1)

There must be a PLACE where YHWH יְהוָה is going to WRITE, by His SPIRIT ( Ruach רוּחַ ), His “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ). That PLACE, is our HEARTS. The TABLETS represent our HEARTS and the ARK ( which Moses had to make – FOR HIMSELF ) represents our BODIES that contain our HEART.

In other words, we MUST prepare our OWN HEARTS and BODIES as a PLACE where YHWH יְהוָה can then WRITE, by His SPIRIT ( Ruach רוּחַ ), His “LAW”( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) on them.

-------

In other words, the GOAL and INTENT, as well as the REQUIREMENT of YHWH יְהוָה , is to WRITE
His “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) ON OUR HEARTS and then PUT His SPIRIT ( Ruach רוּחַ ) WITHIN us, so that He can MOVE UPON OUR HEARTS – by His SPIRIT ( Ruach רוּחַ ), to OBEY His “LAW” (TORAH תּוֹרָה ).

The CIRCUMCISION of the heart is His REMOVING our HEARTS of STONE ( which represents a HARD HEART, a STUBBORN HEART, a REBELLIOUS HEART, which is one that walks in Sin, DisObedience and Rebellion to the COMMANDMENTS of His “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ), and one that believes and teaches that we allegedly do not have to learn and obey His COMMANDMENTS.

So YHWH יְהוָה wants to REMOVE that HEART of STONE ( that does NOT want to learn and obey ) and give us a HEART of FLESH ( that now WANTS to learn and obey. ) That is the only evidence of a CHANGED heart, a ReNewed heart, a CIRCUMCISED heart, a ReNewed ( “New” ) creation, being “born again” / “born from above”.

Why else do we need the Spirit of ELohim אֱלֹהִים INSIDE us, in our HEARS, except for Him to move on our HEARTS to learn and obey and to give us the HELP, POWER and ABILITY to KEEP and DO His COMMANDMENTS.

-----

AndI will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which youbroke;
and you shall put them in the ark.’ (Deut 10:2)

“So I made an ark of acacia wood, hewed two tablets of stone like the first,
and went up the mountain, having the two tablets in my hand. (Deut 10:3)

And He wrote on the tablets according to the first writing, the Ten Commandments, which YHWH יְהוָה had spoken to you in the mountain from the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly; and YHWH יְהוָה gave them to me. (Deut 10:4)

Then I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are, just as YHWH יְהוָה commanded me.” (Deut 10:5)

-------

Have you PREPARED your own HEART as a PLACE where YHWH יְהוָה can WRITE, by His SPIRIT( Ruach רוּחַ ), His “LAW” ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) on it?

Are you LEARNING and OBEYING the COMMANDMENTS of our Creator: YHWH יְהוָה ELohim אֱלֹהִים, and WALKING in them and DOING them, with the HELP, POWER and ENABLEMENT of His SPIRIT ( Ruach רוּחַ )?

-------

{ DAY – there is NO word here for this in the Greek text; it is inserted by translators }

{ WEEK – there is NO word here for this in the Greek text; it is inserted by translators;
what it says is: sabbatōn σαββάτων, which does NOT mean: “WEEK”,
but simply transliterates the Hebrew: “Shabbaton” שַׁבָּתוֹן , thus clearly referring to Shabbat שַּׁבָּת }

[ In Hebrew, the counting of the days of the WEEK ( shah-voo-ah שָּׁבוּעַ ; shavuah ) is FROM one Shabbat שַּׁבָּת TO the next Shabbat שַּׁבָּת. Thus, Day One is One ( 1 ) from the { last } Shabbat; Day Two is Two ( 2 ) from the { last } Shabbat; Day Three is Three ( 3 ) from the { last } Shabbat, etc.

Thus the Hebrew of this verse would show:
SHABBAT ( Heb: bah-Shabbat בַּשַּׁבָּת ) | Grk: sabbatōn σαββάτων );

The Greek of this verse therefore correctly shows: sabbatōn σαββάτων , which is a made-up Greek word used to transliterate the Hebrew word: Shabbaton שַׁבָּתוֹן ( see Lev 23:3 where is it translated as “solemn rest” ), which comes from the Hebrew word: Shabbat שַּׁבָּת - our Creator’s Set Apart Seventh Day.

MIRIAM ( Miryam מִרְיָם ) Magdalene ( Heb: ha-Mahg-dah-leet הַמַּגְדָּלִית | Grk: Magdalēnē Μαγδαληνὴ ); who was from the City of Magdala, which was located on the northwest side of the Sea of Galilee, not far from the city of Capernaum ( Keh-fahr Nah-choom כְפַר נַחוּם ; City of Nahum / City of Comfort ).

Magdalene ( ha-Mahg-dah-leet הַמַּגְדָּלִית ) - from the Hebrew word for “TOWER” ( mig-dahl מִגְדַּל )

CAPERNAUM ( Keh-fahr Nah-choom כְפַר נַחוּם ) meaning:
City of Nahum or City of Comfort

COMFORT ( nah-chahm נַחֲם )
Hebrew Letters: Mem ם final / soffit – Chet ח – Nun נּ

The word “COMFORT” ( nah-chahm נַחֲם ) is also the ROOT for the following words and names:

NAHUM ( Nah-choom נַחוּם ), name of the Hebrew Prophet Nahum, meaning: Comfort
Hebrew Letters: Mem םfinal / soffit – VAV ( וּ ) – Chet ח – Nun נּ

NEHEMIAH ( Neh-chem-Yah נְחֶמְיָה ), name of the Hebrew Prophet NEHEMIAH,
meaning: Comfort of Yah יָה ( YHWH יְהוָה )
Hebrew Letters: HEY ה – YOD י – Mem מ – Chet ח – Nun נּ

It is for this reason: “COMFORT”( nah-chahm נַחֲם ), that LAMECH( Leh-mech לֶמֶךְ ; Lemech), the son of Methuselah, named his son NOAH ( Noh-ahch נֹחַ ; Noach ), saying:

And he called his name NOAH ( Noh-ahch נֹחַ ; Noach ), saying, “This one “WILL COMFORT US ( yeh-nah-chah-may-noo יְנַחֲמֵנוּ ) concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which YHWH יְהוָה has cursed (Gen 5:29)

-------

TOMB ( ha-keh-vehr הַקֶּבֶר ; grave )
Hebrew Letters: Raish ר – Bet ב – Kof קּ – Hey ה

These same four letters in reverse spell the name: REBEKAH ( Rivkah רִבְקָה ) ;
Hebrew Letters: – Hey ה – Kof קּ – Bet ב – Raish ר
revealing that there is a beautiful mystery in her name, which is hidden in Genesis 24

-------

“Now on the FIRST of the SHABBAT שַּׁבָּת “ - Messiah did NOT resurrect on “Sunday” or “Sunday morning”, but rather, at the end of the SHABBAT שַּׁבָּת , the night before, thus completing three full days and three full nights, exactly 72 hours, as He had said. Thus, Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ had already risen from the dead approximately twelve ( 12 ) hours by the time that the women came to the grave in the early morning hours of Day One after the SHABBAT שַּׁבָּת.

-------

2 Then she ran { back } and came to Simon ( Shih-mohn שִׁמְעוֹן ; Shimon ) Peter ( Kay-fah כֵּיפָא ; Kefa ), and to the other DISCIPLE (tahl-meed תַּלְמִיד ; talmid ; taught one ), whom Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ loved, and said to them, “They { the Romans ? } have taken away the MASTER ( Ah-dohn אָדוֹן ; Adon ) out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”

3 Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple { John ( Yochanan יוֹחָנָן ) }, and were going to the tomb.

4 So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first.

[ this may have been the first race ever in the Messianic Maccabees games ! }

5 And he { John (Yochanan יוֹחָנָן ) }, stooping down and looking in, saw the LINEN CLOTHS ( tahch-ree-cheem תַּכְרִיכִים ) lying there; yet he did not go in.

6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the LINEN CLOTHS lying there,

-------

VERSE 7:

KJV
7 And the NAPKIN, that was about his HEAD, not lying with the LINEN CLOTHES, but WRAPPED TOGETHER in a place by itself.

NASB
7 and the FACE-CLOTH which had been on His HEAD, not lying with the LINEN WRAPPINGS, but ROLLED UP in a place by itself.
NIV
7 as well as the CLOTH that had been wrapped around Yeshua’sHEAD. The CLOTH was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.

AMP
7 But the BURIAL NAPKIN ( KERCHIEF ) which had been around the HEAD of Yeshua, was not lying with the other LINEN CLOTHS, but was [still] ROLLED UP ( WRAPPED round and round ) ina place by itself.

The Scriptures
and the CLOTH which had been on His HEAD, not lying with the LINEN WRAPPINGS, but FOLDED UP in a place by itself.

CJB
also the CLOTH that had been around his HEAD, lying not with the SHEETS but in a separate place and still FOLDED UP.

-------

8 Then the other { John( Yochanan יוֹחָנָן ) } DISCIPLE ( tahl-meed תַּלְמִיד ; talmid ; taught one ), who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he SAW and BELIEVED.

9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. (John 20:1-9)

-------

The other DISCIPLE (tahl-meed תַּלְמִיד ; talmid ;taught one ) here is John ( Yochanan יוֹחָנָן ), who outran Simon Peter ( Shimon Kefa כֵּיפָא שִׁמְעוֹן ) in coming to the grave. He looked in and saw that the BODY of Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ was NOT there. He looked in, but did not yet go in. Shimon Kefa then arrived and went in. After that, John also went in, SAW and BELIEVED – in the resurrection of Messiah.

-------

The Scriptures specifically tell us that they both saw that the NAPKIN / HANDKERCHIEF / FACE-CLOTH, which had been on the HEAD of Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ , was NOT lying with the LINEN CLOTHS that had been wrapped around His BODY. Instead, it was FOLDED UP in a separate place by itself.

-------

WHAT is so significant about what he saw?

What exactly was the NAPKIN / HANDKERCHIEF / FACE-CLOTH ?

After Peter went into the tomb, why did John ( Yochanan יוֹחָנָן ) then go in, SEE and { also } BELIEVE, that Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ had indeed risen from the dead?

The answers to these questions are found in understanding the Hebrew culture, both then and now.

When a Hebrew / Jewish man is buried, he is wrapped in the PRAYER SHAWL / TALLIT טַלִּית that he used { during his life } for praying. His entire BODY is wrapped in it, including the HEAD.

43 Now when He { Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ } had said these things, He cried with a loud voice,
“Lazarus ( ELazar אֶלְעָזָר ; ELohim helps ), come forth!”

[ by the way, it is believed, that if Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ had not specifically called Lazarus (ELazar אֶלְעָזָר ) by name, all the dead there in that place may have come forth! ]

44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with
GRAVE-CLOTHES ( Heb: tahch-ree-cheem תַּכְרִיכִים ; linen cloths; linen strips | Grk: keiriais κειρίαις ),

And his FACE ( oo-pah-nahyv וּפָנָיו | Grk: opsis ὄψις )
was WRAPPED ( Heb: ah-too-poht עֲטוּפוֹת | Grk: periededeto περιεδέδετο )

with a CLOTH ( Heb: beh-mit-pah-chaht בְּמִטְפַּחַת | Grk: soudariō σουδαρίῳ ; face-cloth, napkin ).

Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.” (John 11:43-44)

WHAT was the FACE { HEAD } of Lazarus ( ELazarאֶלְעָזָר ) wrapped in?
Answer: his Prayer Shawl / Tallit טַלִּית.

So WHAT was the FACE { HEAD } of Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ WRAPPED in, when He was buried?Answer: his Prayer Shawl / Tallitטַלִּית.

-------

So the NAPKIN / HANDKERCHIEF / FACE-CLOTH was really the Prayer Shawl / Tallit טַלִּית of Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ ! Can we see what a huge difference it makes, to learn and understand the Hebrew culture and way of life, in order to better, properly and correctly understand the Scriptures?

-------

So WHY then was the PrayerShawl / Tallit טַלִּית of Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ FOLDED UP in a separate place apart from the LINEN CLOTHS / LINEN CLOTHES / LINEN WRAPPINGS / GRAVE-CLOTHES that had been wrapped on His BODY?

The answer to this important question is this:

When a Hebrew / Jewish man finishes praying, he FOLDS UP his Prayer Shawl /Tallit טַלִּית . Often, each man likes to FOLD it UP in a particular way.

The Hebrew Sent Ones ( Heb: sheh-lee-cheem שְּׁלִיחִים |Grk: apostoloi ἀπόστολοι ; apostles ) had been with Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ for 3-1/2 years. Certainly they had been to the synagogues together, as well as to the TEMPLE ( Bayt ha-Mikdash בֵּית הַמִּקְדָּשׁ ) together for all of the Appointed Times (moh-ah-deem מּוֹעֲדִים ; moadim ;“feasts” ). Surely, they had seen, repeatedly, just exactly HOW Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ FOLDED UP His own PrayerShawl / Tallit טַלִּית each time.

I am sure that He specifically made sure that they SAW Him FOLDING UP His Prayer Shawl / Tallit טַלִּית during those 3-1/2 years. Why? It is because He was preparing them for this: a SIGN - PROOF of His RESURRECTION!

He had told them of His RESURRECTION beforehand, but they did NOT yet understand or believe. The Scripture here even tells us:

“For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.”
(John 20:9)

For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will You allow
Your { Holy One / Set Apart One } [ RIGHTEOUS ONE ( chah-seed-chah חֲסִידְךָ ) ]
to see corruption. (Psa 16:10)

כִּי לֹא-תַעֲזֹב נַפְשִׁי לִשְׁאוֹל לֹא-תִתֵּן חֲסִידְךָ לִרְאוֹת שָׁחַת

But NOW, after SEEING the Prayer Shawl / Tallit טַלִּית of Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ FOLDED UP just like He always FOLDED it UP during His 3-1/2 years of ministry with them, Simon Peter ( Shimon Kefa כֵּיפָא שִׁמְעוֹן ) and John ( Yochanan יוֹחָנָן ) both BELIEVED that He had indeed been raised from the dead!

-------

IF ROMAN soldiers had taken away the BODY of Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ , they would NOT have FOLDED UP
His Prayer Shawl / Tallit טַלִּית ; nor would they have cared to do so; nor would they have known HOW He FOLDED it UP during His ministry. They might have either taken the Prayer Shawl / Tallit טַלִּית and thrown it out, or cast lots for it, or just left it there – CRUMPLED UP ( see photo below ).

The Jews, and especially the chief priests and scribes, were NOT even going to go to the grave at this time, because it was the Feast of UnLeavened Bread and then First Fruits. They also knew that the tomb / grave had been securely sealedby the Romans, with two large spikes holding the stone over the mouth of the tomb / grave -- plus it was being guarded by Roman soldiers.

But it was NOT the will of YHWH יְהוָה ELohim אֱלֹהִים that the Romans or any of the chief priests and scribes should have the Prayer Shawl /Tallit טַלִּית of Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ the Messiah. It was needed for His Hebrew Sent Ones.

Thus, the ONLY ONE, who WOULD have, and who COULD have, FOLDED UP the Prayer Shawl / Tallit טַלִּית of Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ exactly as He had FOLDED it UP during His ministry, was Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ Himself. Thus, this one verse ( John 20:7) provides us with an extremely important detail on the PROOF of the resurrection of Messiah.

And Simon Peter ( Shimon Kefa כֵּיפָא שִׁמְעוֹן ) and John ( Yochanan יוֹחָנָן ) become the { first } Two Witnesses ofthe resurrection, as required by TORAH תּוֹרָה , in order to establish something as fact.

So now we also learn that even in the style / format of the writing the ReNewed Covenant writings, they follow the SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES and SPIRITUAL TRUTHS contained within the commandments of the TORAH תּוֹרָה .

-------

But the FOLDED UP Prayer Shawl / Tallit טַלִּית of Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ also teaches us ANOTHER IMPORTANT spiritual Truth. And that is ... He is going to PUT IT BACK ON AGAIN!

It is therefore my belief that when Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ returns from heaven, to redeem physical IsraELand set up His kingdom on earth, He will be wearing THAT Prayer Shawl / Tallit טַלִּית !!

His Kingdom on earth will be ruled according to the COMMANDMENTS of His TORAH תּוֹרָה, as it has ALWAYS BEEN. Thus, we need to be LEARNING and OBEYING His COMMANDMENTS now, if we want to be IN His Kingdom!!

>>>>>>>>>>>>

By the way, if the "LAW" ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) was allegedly "done away with" or allegedly "nailed to the Tree / cross, by the DEATH of Messiah, WHY would He have His FACE WRAPPED in His Prayer Shawl / Tallit טַלִּית that had the FRINGES / TASSELS ( Tzitzit צִיצִת ) on their FOUR ( 4 ) CORNERS, which represents all 613 COMMANDMENTS of the "LAW" ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) ???

Part of the Answer is this: NOT ALL of the prophecies and things, written in the "LAW" ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) and the Hebrew Prophets have yet been fulfilled. Therefore the "LAW" ( TORAH תּוֹרָה ) and the Hebrew Prophets still stand and are still valid and required for all ages, so we MUST start LEARNING and OBEYING the COMMANDMENTS. ( see Matt 5:17-19 )

Sorry for the lack of posting. I have been having some health problems lately and I am trying to get better by healthier eating. I have been overweight all my life. In high school I lost weight but I only ate less and exercised a lot. I was still eating junk. When I got married and had kids I gained it all back plus more. Now, I am trying to change my diet and exercise for a forever weight loss. I am trying to be healthy to lose weight. I have learned you can't lose weight to be healthy. I know skinny people who are unhealthy. Maybe this is something I can put up on our family blog. I am going to try to get this right this time. Thanks for understanding. Love you all.
Blessings!!!
